Craig Lindwarm, APLU's Assistant Vice President for Congressional & Governmental Affairs, spoke to the National Association of Graduate and Professional Students at their spring Advocacy Summit. His presentation helped prepare the students for advocating on concerns related to the PROSPER Act. 
APLU's Anderson Presented at AAHHE on Creating STEM Pathways

Eugene Anderson, APLU's Vice President for Access and Success, presented at the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) on creating pathways for Latina/o students in STEM fields. He examined trends in engineering degrees awarded to Latina/o students and discussed broadening the participation of Latina/o students in engineering.
APLU's Miller to Speak on University of Texas System Data's Transparency Panel

Elise Miller, APLU's Vice President for Research and Policy Analysis, will speak at a University of Texas System panel examining data transparency in higher education on March 27. The University of Texas System has pioneered a tool, seekUT, allowing prospective students to explore employment and earnings outcomes for former students who attended University of Texas System institutions. Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the seekUT tool is soon launching a new version aggregating outcomes for former students living not only in Texas, but across the United States.

APLU's Woodell Named to National Alliance for Broader Impacts Advisory Board

Vice President, Economic Development and Community Engagement
Jim Woodell, APLU's Vice President of Economic Development and Community Engagement, has been named to the National Alliance for Broader Impacts Advisory Board. The National Alliance for Broader Impacts (NABI) is an international network of individuals and organizations working to build institutional capacity, advance broader impacts, and demonstrate the societal benefits of research. Woodell will also be a keynote speaker at a NABI meeting in April.
