The 2016 Joint COPs Meeting will engage the Board on Agriculture Assembly (BAA) leadership in a discussion of the importance of national leadership by university agricultural administrators, discuss new initiatives, and share updates of on-going BAA initiatives. Members of ACOP, ECOP, ESCOP, ICOP, AHS Executive Committee, CARET, and invited members of the Boards on Human Sciences should attend our Joint COPs Meeting. The Joint Session begins, Tuesday, July 19th at 8:00am and concluding Wednesday, July 20th at 12:00noon.
Given competing interests for their time and money, agricultural program administrators must routinely justify the time and expense they commit on behalf of the BAA. This meeting will focus on the importance of national leadership, emphasizing the impact of that leadership on the partnership with USDA and within individual BAA sections. Additionally, attendees will participate in discussion of diversity within university-based agricultural programs. This discussion will be the beginning of a larger initiative on diversity. Participants will also hear updates about the major BAA initiatives. Finally, individual section committees on organization and policy will hold business meetings.
