Assistant Professor, Controls

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the general area of dynamic systems and controls, including mechatronics and cyber physical systems, at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank. Candidates with teaching and research interests who would like to collaborate with other faculty members in autonomous systems, unmanned aerial systems, precision manufacturing, roll-to-roll processing, energy systems and transportation systems are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary and other compensation are competitive with major research institutions.

Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. / Ed.D. in field closely aligned to mechanical or aerospace engineering. Must hold an earned doctoral degree in a field closely aligned to mechanical or aerospace engineering and from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accrediting agency, or have comparable professional experience. (Equivalencies and comparable professional experience shall be specified by the school.). The successful candidate must have demonstrated potential for developing a strong externally funded research program and for excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Must have demonstrated promise of creative ability and imagination, and an interest in and capability for teaching and working with students. To be considered for appointment, individual must have strong and supportive recommendations from prior professional employers and/or other individuals qualified to assess the person's potential as a teacher, scholar, researcher and/or an effective participant in extension and public service work. The successful candidate must have demonstrated potential for developing a strong externally funded research program and for excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
