Pay Range: $9.50-$11.00 per hour

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Position Summary:

Work under the direction of the UI Children's Center Director and Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities according to NAEYC Accreditation Standards; maintain a physical environment to promote growth; observe and record developmental levels and progress; develop partnerships with parents and provide care for the physical needs of children; maintain a safe and sanitary environment; performing related work.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Education: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent or completion of CDA within 6 months of hire date.

Must be enrolled in IdahoStars Development System within one month of hire date.

*Ability to: learn and apply instructions and standards.

*Knowledge: developmental stages of young children and behavior management practices; CPR and first aid.

*Skills: demonstrate effective communication skills, organizational skills and multi-tasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Experience with infants and preschool children.

*Knowledge of NAEYC philosophy and standards.

*Previous experience in a child care center or environment working with young children.
