The Department of Management in Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a position beginning Fall, 2018 as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Professional Practice. The position is primarily located on the OSU-Stillwater campus although candidates should remain flexible to teach in both Stillwater and Tulsa. The position is designed to require teaching seven sections per year; however, if the candidate agrees to a significant service or administrative role, the teaching load will be reduced to six classes per year. The position is offered to help the Department of Management pursue specific strategic goals in academic research, service/outreach, and teaching excellence. The successful candidate should be prepared to demonstrate teaching excellence in at least two of the following domains: Human Resource Management, Ethics, Fundamentals of Management, Organization Behavior or Strategic Management. The successful candidate will be able to work in a collegial environment. All candidates must start with and maintain qualifications for AACSB accreditation. That includes conducting scholarly research, attending professional conferences and workshops, managing service learning projects, etc. Research and travel support will be provided where necessary. The appointment is for three years and can be renewed. This position is contingent on funding. Qualifications: Candidates should hold a terminal degree in business or an associated field. The preferred degree would be a PhD in Business although all terminal degree holders will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate teaching excellence and a commitment to offering a wide range of courses. Candidates must be academically qualified upon the start date and must maintain qualifications for reappointment.
