South Dakota State University is accepting applications for a full-time, 12 month, Associate Athletic Trainer – Head Football ATC. The sports medicine staff coordinates the athletic training services through both the Stanley J. Marshall Center athletic training room and the Dykhouse athletic training room. This primary position will be running the day to day services of the Dykhouse athletic training room and the SDSU Football team medical coverage. The scope of practice includes prevention, evaluation, management rehabilitation, referral and administration so as to facilitate safe and expeditious return to activity for South Dakota State University student-athletes.
Minimum qualification include: Master’s prepared (degree preference to be in Athletic Training, Athletic Administration or Sports Science); minimum 3 years of experience in athletic training (football preferred); at least 1 year of experience supervising athletic training students; BOC certified/SD License or eligible; CPR and First Aid certified; effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills; demonstrated organizational and time management skills; and demonstrated computer application skills.
