Position Summary:

At the University of Idaho, in the College of Business and Economics, the Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean, Department Heads, faculty, staff, and students to provide academic leadership for, and management of the pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and service. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean and works with the leadership planning strategically, advocating for the college and associated programs, directing and conducting assessment activities and improvement efforts, engaging in college development work (fund raising), and contributing to related leadership and administrative activities. The Associate Dean leads the efforts for the college-level core curriculum, the AACSB re-accreditation processes, and the promotion of excellence in research scholarship. The Associate Dean works to ensure fairness for all people; advances efforts to promote diversity and equity; and is an effective ambassador with stakeholders within the college, the university, and the external community.

The rank of Associate or Full Professor is negotiable depending on experience and scholarly achievements. Tenure is also negotiable after a short probationary period that is consistent with University of Idaho policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Applicants must possess management experience and an earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree.

- Applicants must demonstrate record of significant leadership experience, professional accomplishment, and administrative effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience developing and/or managing innovative curricula and experiential learning programs is highly desirable.

- Experience in an academic environment at the level of Department Head or above, and with AACSB accreditation practices is preferred.
