The Department of Management in Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a position beginning Fall, 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice. The position is primarily located on the OSU-Tulsa campus although candidates should remain flexible to teach in both Stillwater and Tulsa. The position is designed for seven sections per year; however, if the candidate takes on a significant service role, the teaching load will be six classes per year. The position is designed to develop a presence in Business Sustainability and will work closely with faculty of Environmental Sciences. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses in Corporate Social Responsibility, Ethics and Introduction to Business Sustainability.
Top candidates will have the ability to teach courses in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Law as well. The successful candidate will be able to work in a collegial environment. All candidates must start and maintain qualifications for AACSB accreditation. That includes conducting scholarly research, attending professional conferences and workshops, managing service learning projects, etc. Research and travel support will be provided where necessary. The appointment is for three years and can be renewed. This position is contingent on funding. Minimum qualifications: Candidates should hold a terminal degree in business or an associated field. While a PhD is preferred, a JD would be sufficient. Candidates should demonstrate teaching excellence and a commitment to offering a wide range of courses. Candidates must be academically qualified upon the start date and must maintain qualifications for reappointment.
