Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Healthy Communities Coordinator (100%)
Salary: $46,000 - $50,000

The purpose of this position is to address diet-related disparities by contributing to advancing policy, systems, and environmental changes to promote healthy eating and physical activity behaviors among low-income, urban and rural residents, many of whom are persons of color and who may speak a language other than English (especially people who are eligible to receive SNAP/FoodShare) in Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties. The Healthy Communities Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties Nutrition Administrator to provide leadership to the Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties FoodWIse Program and will seek opportunities to align program efforts with other UW-Extension Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties team members.  Additionally, this position will work closely with statewide colleagues, other Healthy Communities Coordinators and appropriate partners on building healthy communities initiatives. Local initiatives will be implemented in alignment with statewide FoodWIse program outcomes and federal SNAP-Ed program guidance.

The Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties FoodWIse Program is a major effort within Cooperative Extension Family Living Programs.  The aim of Family Living Programs is to enhance the quality of family and community decisions that affect the family and to increase the abilities of families to adapt to and affect change.
