This position is with the Center for Applied Research and Engagement Systems (CARES), MU Extension, University of Missouri.
This position will utilize geographic information system (GIS) software, data, and analytical methods in support of multiple nationally-recognized projects at CARES (https://cares.missouri.edu).
The position will be assigned tasks utilizing a geographic information system in a dynamic, project-based environment. The chosen candidate will work in a team environment with opportunities for promotion and skill development. The position will report to CARES management staff.
Conduct all activities in accordance with the Civil Rights Acts, Title IX, Rehabilitation, Americans with Disabilities Act and local, state and region affirmative action plans.
As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected to support the mission and purpose of MU Extension.
LEADERSHIP RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Administrative supervision is received from CARES management staff.
A high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with ESRI software products is expected. Experience with relational databases, digital cartography, basic GIS analysis, and team-based environments is preferred.
