Provide individual and group counseling for university students experiencing personal/emotional and career problems, and alcohol and substance abuse issues. The staff member will perform administrative duties, provide emergency/crisis intervention, provide consultation to members of the university community, provide educational outreach programs, and periodically have the opportunity to supervise practicum and intern graduate students. Position requires some evening and weekend work, including on-call emergency stand-by after regular office hours and on weekends.
Qualifications: Clinical Counselor needs Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or related field. Sr. Clinical Counselor needs doctoral training (ABD), in counseling, psychology or related discipline. Demonstrated competency in clinical, group and outreach skills. The successful candidate should be committed to a developmental proactive philosophy involving an active relationship with both the campus and Stillwater community. Experience in a university setting and with a brief therapy model are also desirable. The successful candidate must be licensed or license eligible in Oklahoma. If license eligible must be fully licensed within two years of hire. If ABD, must complete degree within one year of hire.
