The Custer County Director is a local representative of Colorado State University, works under the supervision of the Peaks and Plains Regional Director and will provide leadership and organization in the development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of educational programs in, agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, community development and 4-H focusing on Custer County and assisting in other counties as appropriate.
Completed bachelor’s degree in agriculture (livestock, range, weed science) and natural resources, education, youth development, or a closely related field prior to beginning the position. A successful candidate without a completed master’s degree will be required to complete a master’s degree relevant to their Extension position within 5 years from the start of employment. Failure to do so may result in termination.
