Director of Football Equipment Operations

Oklahoma State Athletics Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Football Equipment Operations. This position will work directly with the Director Equipment Operations to manage, oversee and supervise all phases of the Football Athletic Equipment Department. Directly responsible for all phases of Football Equipment inventory, procurement and maintenance. Manage, oversee and supervise student manager's game assignments for both home and away football games. Oversee preparation of all equipment and apparel pertaining to football before they travel to an away football contest--includes coaching and support staff. Manage Budget Oversight. Travel is required in & out of state for team travel; weekly, work schedule varies.  Practice times often occur or continue after 5 p.m. Scrimmages are usually held on weekends and all games are weeknights after 5 p.m. or on weekends.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor degree in Health, Physical Education, Sports Administration or related field and two years athletics experience, 1 year of supervisory experience. Knowledge of NCAA Rules, Big XII, and Oklahoma State University Athletics Department rules and regulations that pertain to equipment issue and return. Knowledge of football rules and equipment regulations. Ability to fit protective equipment and apparel for optimal safety and performance for football, specifically helmets, shoulder pads, gloves and footwear. Ability to perform maintenance program of protective equipment. Knowledge of NOCSAE regulations for protective equipment. Knowledge of team and individual sports and related equipment. Ability to maintain accurate inventory, issue records, and athlete data information. Acquire after hire: Athletic Equipment Manager Association Certification. Must be able to lift in excess of 100 lbs.  Excellent organizational and communication skills essential. 

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision or related field.
