Job Description

The East Regional Director reports to the Program Director of the Missouri College Advising Corps (MCAC) in support of the MCAC mission to empower Missouri students to go to college and succeed. The Regional Director will oversee 17-20 full-time near peer college advisers and MCAC partner school relationships in St. Louis and Eastern Missouri.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Recruitment, selection, training, and ongoing supervision and support of college advisers
  • Collaboration with MCAC and CAC colleagues to continuously improve program outcomes
  • Maintaining and growing a regional support network for advisers throughout eastern Missouri
  • Managing positive and productive relationships with partner school staff and district personnel

The regional director will promote effective management of key performance indicators and service deliverables – ongoing goal setting, tracking, and assessing outcomes for each adviser as well as for overall program accountability and improvement by providing outstanding support, mentorship, and oversightThe regional director must work deliberately to nurture collaborative relationships with other access providers serving in MCAC partner schools in the region as well as colleagues statewide. Additionally, the role requires the Regional Director to monitor a budget of approximately $200,000 per year, attend and participate in regional, statewide, and/or national meetings and events on behalf of MCAC.

Salary Range: $47,476 - $54,000 Annually

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree;
  • 3-5 years progressive and successful experience directly supervising others or school-related leadership;
  • Experience and expertise in leadership and facilitation of large groups;
  • Experience planning and delivering in-depth and extensive training programs for up to 50 participants;
  • Experience working in a high school and/or higher education environment and/or community-based organization with high school-aged students;
  • Demonstrated success in working remotely and supervising staff that are located remotely from you and in various settings;
  • Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to engage with a team and be an active participant and contributor toward continuous improvement of the organization;
  • Demonstrated ability to work within and meet goals of a data-driven and outcomes-based organization and to ensure that direct reports meet their goals; and
  • A passion for the mission of college access for low-income, first-generation-college, and underrepresented students.
