Grants Coordinator

College of Engineering Grants Coordinator, Associate Dean of Research Office, College of Engineering, South Dakota State University.  The successful applicant will work closely with the Associate Dean of Research in the College of Engineering to develop improved faculty grantsmanship and increased external funding within the college.  Major responsibilities include working with faculty to  optimize research proposals for successful review and external funding, maintaining external funding records and databases, supporting faculty research development training activities, andcoordinating efforts with the SDSU Office of Research and Grants Administration office. 

Required qualifications include an earned Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; demonstrated experience in development of grant proposals; self initiative and ability to work independently; effective oral and written communication skills; and proficiency in use of computers.  Preferred qualifications include relevant work experience in university research; proficiency in writing, editing, and reviewing technical documents; and familiarity with federal and state regulations regarding research, grants, and contracts.
