This highly motivated individual will work well in a team as well as provide support for IEP program activities and events. APLU is a research, policy, and advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening and advancing the work of public universities in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. With a membership of 241 public research universities, land-grant institutions, state university systems, and affiliated organizations, APLU's agenda is built on the three pillars of increasing degree completion and academic success, advancing scientific research, and expanding engagement. Annually, member campuses enroll 4.9 million undergraduates and 1.3 million graduate students, award 1.3 million degrees, employ 1.3 million faculty and staff, and conduct $44.9 billion in university-based research.

The IEP Universities Designation Program at APLU offers institutions a robust national platform and process for codifying, measuring, and communicating economic engagement impact. This is done holistically across talent and workforce development, through innovation and entrepreneurship, and through place development via public service, community engagement, Cooperative Extension, and outreach. To earn the designation, institutions complete a rigorous self-study and stakeholder engagement study to identify their strengths and areas of needed improvement throughout their campus economic engagement enterprise. Campuses share and learn from one another throughout the process in a national learning cohort. Designees engage in APLU projects, advocacy, and communication efforts around university-based economic and community engagement. To date, 64 institutions have earned the designation and 20+ institutions are currently pursuing the designation. For more information, please consult
