Instructor/Medical Laboratory Science Director

South Dakota State University (SDSU), is seeking a high-energy and collaborative professional to provide leadership and direction to the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program. This is a 12-month, Non-Unit Faculty Instructor position, with administrative responsibilities, that reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Services in the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions.

The successful candidate must possess a Master’s degree, an ASCP‐BOC or ASCP-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist, three years of teaching experience, knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures, excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and constituencies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
