Position Summary:

This position reports to the Associate Director of Technology and Systems within the Office of Admissions/Campus Visits, and provides first level support for all computing, processing and information technology within the Office of Admissions/Campus Visits. Incumbent works on projects as assigned, and is also responsible for proactively using independent judgment to resolve critical issues with technology, while providing excellent customer service to associates within the department.

This position supports the technology in use by the staff, faculty and student employees working in the Office of Admissions and at our remote sites, including all desktop computing, laptops, printers, network configuration, and productivity software such as Office, media technology, research and purchasing of new technology, and deployment of new resources.

This position provides support for the University Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system, by participating in development and maintenance of the system, acting as backup System Administrator, and creating and delivering appropriate training in the use of the system. Incumbent also provides direct support to recruiting staff in the areas of event support and developing ad-hoc queries for use in targeting unique populations of our recruiting database.

This position provides basic reporting and analysis using data from the CRM and other sources, to provide timely information to support the activities of our recruiting staff. Incumbent provides first level support for projects and tasks that involve data mining, data integration, comparisons, year over year and other basic tracking reports.

This position provides support for our web based initiatives, including development and management of our Campus Visits web site, and future sites and web forms to be developed within the CRM. Incumbent works in conjunction with the marketing web team on front facing website initiatives related to recruiting, admissions and event marketing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three (3) years of experience identifying and resolving problems with computer hardware, software and networks, including compatibility conflicts, driver updates, software troubleshooting, hardware malfunctions and networking and telecommunications problems.

Experience researching, recommending and purchasing new systems and technologies.

Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting computer hardware, software, peripherals, hard drives.

Experience with computer security software, repairing and rebuilding systems that have been compromised.

Understanding the use and configuration of modern computer security programs.

Experience providing organized IT training, including creation of documentation and delivery in both one-to-one and group settings.

Demonstrated ability in managing and prioritizing multiple projects with different deadlines.

Experience using and supporting Office productivity software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience using and supporting database systems, such as Microsoft Access.

Experience using database systems to extract, review, update and report on student data tracking systems.

Detail oriented with an understanding of the importance of data accuracy in a database system.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience administering and supporting enterprise level software applications, preferably CRM/Student Information Systems.

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience supporting technology in a higher education setting.

Experience using or supporting Elluician Banner database systems.

Experience programming in MS-SQL language.

A+ or Microsoft Certification.
