This position focuses on selling the programs, products and services of the Center for Executive and Professional Development to corporate, government and non-profit organizations. These include custom on-site programs, open enrollment programs and sponsorships. The Center offers on-site programs that focus on developing current leaders and high potential managers and employees in the organizations served. Focus is mainly in Oklahoma, with most major companies in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The key to the position is to sell in a manner that builds long-lasting partnerships, delivering high value for the client partner and OSU Spears School of Business. The position involves travel to Houston, Dallas, etc. and require some evenings and weekends.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field and four years of related experience. A deep understanding of business and business school academic disciplines, strategic thinking, proven business development and relationship skills, and consultative selling and negotiating skills are critical to success in this role.
Prefer candidate with MBA and six years or more selling services to medium and large enterprises with proven ability to sell to C-level executives preferred. Experience in selling academic services is a plus as is working for academic institutions. Professional sales training preferred. Knowledge of Executive Education program content including a good understanding of key management and professional development topics and disciplines (e.g. strategy, leadership, finance, accounting, marketing, operations, ethics, etc.).
