Position Summary:

The Department of Leadership and Counseling (L & C), College of Education, University of Idaho (UI) seeks passionate and well-qualified applicants for a full time, 9 month Assistant or Associate Professor in Educational Leadership, beginning August 2017. The successful applicant will be primarily involved with teaching advising students with their academic programs, building a record of scholarly research [peer reviewed publication and presentations], building relationships with area school districts and stat education agencies dedicated to K-12 education, and identifying and recruiting students into the educational leadership program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• An earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or related field

• Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity in K-12

• Demonstrated potential for securing external funding to

enhance research and program development

• Evidence of, or the potential for exceptional teaching, advising,

and service at the graduate level

• Commitment to designing and teaching online courses

• Commitment and experience working with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Successful leadership experience in K-12 schools

• Experience with analyzing or evaluating educational policy at state and national levels

• Ability to teach quantitative research methods courses

• Desire and ability to contribute to instruction of doctoral-level research methods courses

• Experience with grant writing and/or securing external funding

• Experience developing a Teacher Leadership Program

• Experience developing a Native American Leadership Program
