SSRU Research Scientist

Location: Moscow

Division/College: University Research (Div)

Employee Category: Temporary

Pay Range: $18.65 – $23.25 per hour

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Position Summary:

Develop and implement research design and study methodologies on behalf of grant and contract clients. Prepare new project proposals and work with various clients to manage and implement projects. Ensure Institutional Review Board (IRB ) requirements are met for projects. Lead projects to ensure scientific rigor and timely completion for each. Coordinate with other Unit staff to complete tasks. Complete special assignments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in social science research (via coursework and/or other positions)

Proficiency in a variety of applicable computer programs

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, technical writing skills, problem solving skills, and organizational skills.

Ability to multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a social science discipline or related field.

2 years of graduate-level experience with social science research methods, including survey methodology.

Knowledge and proficiency with computer-assisted telephone interviewing.

Coursework in statistics and/or quantitative social science.

Proficiency in statistical computer software (eg, SAS , SPSS , or R).
