The University seeks a collaborative and visionary Term Dean to partner with the Provost and Executive Vice President, the senior leadership team, and the faculty in fostering academic excellence; creating a collegial environment for faculty, staff, and students; growing enrollment; facilitating research; guiding strategic planning and implementation; developing relationships with key constituencies; and raising funds for the College of Law.
The Term Dean shall begin work as soon as possible and serve in the position until no later than June 30, 2020, unless otherwise permitted to do so by the Provost and Executive Vice President in consultation with the Faculty of the College of Law.
The Term Dean must be a full, tenured professor at the University of Idaho College of Law.
Ability and willingness to engage in evidence-based, market-aware strategic planning in the face of internal organizational change; commitment to the development and execution of inclusive, transparent planning and policy-making processes; ability to develop, articulate, and generate buy-in for a coherent plan for the future of the College that reflects understanding of internal and external opportunities and limitations; a record or demonstrated potential of working collaboratively within an organization; a record or demonstrated potential to provide leadership in conflict resolution within an organization; a record or demonstrated potential to fundraise and engage in development-related activities.
