Position Summary:

THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO Department of Theatre Arts seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, one-year sabbatical replacement to teach graduate and undergraduate students in performance related disciplines, and to possibly direct one university mainstage theatre production. We encourage applicants who will support the growing diversity of our department through course work and creative activity. Successful candidates will have an MFA degree and professional theatre experience. Teaching experience at the university level is required; teaching experience with Animals Work is preferred. The workload is three teaching/production assignments per semester. This 9-month, Visiting Assistant Professor position begins Fall 2017 and will not be continued; salary is commensurate with experience.

Visiting Faculty- A designation that, when used with a professorial title, customarily indicates that the appointee holds a regular teaching or research position at another institution. A visiting appointee who does not hold a professorial rank elsewhere will be designated as a lecturer.

Minimum Qualifications:

MFA in theatre and professional experience

Teaching experience at the university level

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience with Animals Work.
