Council on Engagement & Outreach Creates Engagement Toolkit

June 10, 2014—Does your job description include working within the community? Are you supervising new faculty involved in the scholarship of engagement? APLU’s Council on Engagement and Outreach has an engagement toolkit www.engagementtoolkit.org with the following objectives:

• Serve as a “go to” site for university faculty and staff to approach various facets of regional engagement.
• Provide information about and links to resources pertinent to regional engagement.
• Offer tools and templates for use in various aspects of regional engagement. Be a locus for information exchange among university professionals engaged in regional development.

As this is a work in progress, additions to the toolkit are always welcome in order to develop a repository of information. Use the “Suggestions” option in the left hand column to contribute to this growing body of knowledge.
