Higher Education Association Statement on the SUCCESS Act

Washington, DC – The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, Association of American Medical Colleges, Association of American Universities, AUTM, and Council on Governmental Relations today released the following statement on the SUCCESS Act.

“As associations representing research universities, their medical schools and their research and technology transfer professionals, we applaud the introduction of the SUCCESS Act.

“We strongly support finding ways to increase the participation of women and under- represented populations in innovation and invention. Through the joint study to be conducted by the Small Business Administration and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, we hope this effort will develop new ways that government can help foster greater diversity and inclusion within the innovation ecosystem.”
