Invitation to Participate in a National Network of University-Industry Partnerships

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), the Water Council, and the Business-Higher Education Forum (BHEF) invite you to participate in the development of a national network of university-industry partnerships focused on increasing university responsiveness to water-related industry talent development and workforce needs. Please review these details on the development of the national network of university-industry partnerships before registering.

The national network will facilitate and support local industry-university partnerships to implement educational models that build pathways from college to careers in the water industries. The network will work on an ongoing basis to disseminate lessons learned and effective practices by participating partnerships.

An initial meeting of identified partnerships that are ready to adopt water industries talent development models is scheduled for Thursday, April 28th (evening reception) and Friday, April 29th (main program), 2016. The meeting will be held in Milwaukee, WI. View a preliminary agenda for the meeting, including a link to registration, which is free.

You may direct any questions to Jim Woodell, APLU’s Vice President for Economic Development and Community Engagement, via e-mail or at (202) 478-6044.
