APLU engages its membership through a series of initiatives led by councils and commissions, which help drive the APLU agenda. The APLU council structure enables university leaders with comparable titles, working in similar positions, to come together to address critical issues and expand their knowledge base within their professional area of expertise. The commission structure enables individuals, regardless of position and from multiple disciplines across the universities, to come together to address critical issues and expand their knowledge base in areas of common interest. All councils/commissions’ registration pages will be linked here once they will become available.

Applications are now being accepted for the fourteenth cohort in the Food Systems Leadership Institute starting in the fall of 2018. The Food Systems Leadership Institute (FSLI) offers executive leadership development to upper-level leaders in higher education, government, and industry to prepare them to meet the leadership challenges and opportunities of the future.

William B. Bonvillian, a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a research advisor at MIT’s Office of Digital Learning and its Industrial Policy Center, will appear for an APLU-hosted event on January 17 at noon EST.
