The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and the Association of American Universities (AAU) will host the inaugural “University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Showcase,” highlighting university affiliated startup businesses on Monday, November 13 & Tuesday, November 14 during the APLU Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
APLU and the Association of American Universities (AAU) in partnership with the National Academy of Inventors and VentureWell are pleased to present the inaugural "University Innovation & Entrepreneurship Showcase." The showcase aims to elevate the profile of the importance role federally-funded university research plays in fueling entrepreneurship, innovation and impact across the nation.
Selected university-affiliated startups will have the opportunity to participate in an afternoon poster session and celebratory reception sponsored by APLU's Council on Government Relations and Commission on Innovation, Competitiveness & Economic Prosperity at the 2017 APLU Annual Meeting on November 13. Then, on November 14, these startups will be featured in an evening exhibition and reception in the Rayburn Foyer on Capitol Hill where their work will be highlighted among members of congress, staff along with other innovation and policy stakeholders in Washington, DC.
