Before joining APLU, Sarah served as a Business Analyst in the Management Development Program at the Great Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Sarah also served as a Legislative Intern on Senator Patty Murray’s Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee staff. While there she attended briefings and wrote memoranda on issues related to higher education degree completion, the student debt crisis, and STEM education. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Sarah worked at the Ohio Department of Higher Education and the Ohio Senate.

Sarah is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she majored in Public Policy Analysis and minored in Economics. While at Ohio State, she played an active role on campus as an undergraduate teaching assistant in the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, a Mentor with College Mentor for Kids, and as a Fellow with the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus. Sarah was also selected as a Glenn Fellow in the Washington Academic Internship where she spent the semester in Washington, D.C. as a full-time student and full-time intern.
