Abigail serves as the Program Associate, Economic Development & Community Engagement (OEDCE) & Governmental Affairs.
Before joining APLU, Abigail served as a Government Affairs Intern in the University of Vermont's Office of State and Federal Relations. Abigail also served as a Legislative Intern on Senator Patrick Leahy's staff. While there she attended briefings and wrote memoranda on issues related to international relations, migration, and the environment. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Abigail held various roles on local, state, and congressional campaigns.
Abigail is a graduate of the University of Vermont where she majored in Political Science and double minored in Global Studies and Speech & Debate. While at UVM she played an active role on campus as a Student Government Senator, Public Speaking Teaching Assistant, and Resident Advisor. Abigail was also the Treasurer of UVM's Lawrence Debate Union where she competed at the domestic and international level, including the World Universities Debating Championship in Cape Town, South Africa in 2019.
Abigail is currently pursuing her master’s in Legislative Affairs at the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management.
