Macie Marinetto joined APLU as an Associate in the Office of Public Affairs in May 2021. Now a Senior Associate, Macie works develops and manages APLU’s social media content and strategy. She serves as APLU’s in-house graphic designer, designing and developing reports, graphics, website content, and videos to support APLU's offices, projects, and the Annual Meeting. Additionally, Macie supports the Council on Strategic Communications by overseeing member communications and planning the council’s summer meeting.
Prior to APLU, Macie worked for Acara Partners, a consultancy and marketing agency for aesthetic medical practices. There she was responsible for writing and creating content for Acara’s blog, social media pages, newsletters, and press releases. In college, she spent a summer interning for the Freed Vance Research Group where she worked on projects for clients such as Charter Communications, AARP, Carfax, and Mutual of Omaha.
Macie holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU, she studied abroad in Athens, Greece, which sparked her love for traveling. A native of the D.C. area, Macie enjoys going to Pilates, exploring D.C.’s neighborhoods, and trying new restaurants with friends.
