Sandy Ruble is Assistant Director, Cooperative Extension/ECOP. She supports the work of the Executive Director, Cooperative Extension/ECOP. In particular, she administers the national extension awards process in partnership with USDA NIFA; manages special projects and meetings; prepares reports; and manages day-to-day operations.
Formerly, she was Administrative Assistant to the Granville County Extension Director in Oxford, North Carolina where she managed day-to-day operations supporting the work of the County Extension Director and local Extension Advisory Council.
To perform her duties, she utilizes a wealth of experience, an undergraduate degree in education from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and a Certificate in Non-profit Management from Duke University Continuing Studies.
Ruble was recognized by her peers in the Environmental Educators of North Carolina when she received the Melva Fager Okun Life Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution of leadership in the founding of the organization. Nominated by her superiors, she received the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Secretary of Excellence Award from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association.
