The Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP)

The purpose of the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) is to give guidance to issues impacting the Cooperative Extension System (System). ECOP is the representative leadership and governing body of Cooperative Extension, the nationwide transformational education system operating through land-grant universities in partnership with federal, state, and local governments. ECOP focuses on four core themes: 1) Build partnerships and acquire resources; 2) Increase strategic marketing and communications; 3) Enhance leadership and professional development, and 4) Strengthen organizational functioning.

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities/Board on Agriculture Assembly

The Board on Agriculture Assembly (BAA) is a unit of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) Commission on Food, Environment, and Renewable Resources (CFERR). The purpose of the BAA is the promotion of agriculture in all of its phases (food, environment, agriculture, natural resources, and international) in the state universities and land-grant colleges of the states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the territories of the Pacific, and the U. Regional Associations

The Cooperative Extension Section, under the APLU Board on Agriculture Assembly, is structured in five regions. Membership on ECOP committees and task forces is distributed across these regions as much as possible to assure balanced representation. The regions are internally organized into associations. Featured Project & Initiative

Powered by Publics is convening nearly 125 change-ready institutions within 16 “transformation clusters” focused on solving different pieces of the student success puzzle. Participating institutions are working collaboratively to increase college access, eliminate the achievement gap, and award hundreds of thousands more degrees by 2025.
