We hope you will join us for the 2019 HBCU Engineering Faculty Workshop funded by National Science Foundation, taking place in Nashville, TN at Tennessee State University on May 22 – May 24, 2019.
This summer in place of the annual HBCU Summit we will bring together faculty in engineering from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) for a workshop on pedagogy that improves student learning; innovative strategies for mentoring and advising that improve student retention and graduation rates; and tools and strategies for developing grant proposals and effectively competing in national grant solicitations. The cohort will be led by an experienced engineering educator who will guide them in developing projects and grant proposals that support the work of the cohort members. The goal of the workshop is to assist HBCU engineering faculty in becoming more effective and strategic educators, advisors, and researchers.
