APLU, Association of American Universities (AAU), and American Council on Education (ACE) sent a letter thanking House and Senate Appropriations leaders for giving priority to research and higher education programs in the FY 2016 Consolidated Appropriations Act. The letter also urges the leaders to provide the Labor-HHS-Ed Subcommittee with a strong 302(b) allocation in FY 2017, as it would enable the subcommittee to provide substantial funding levels to the various programs in its jurisdiction, including college financial aid and the National Institutes of Health.
