About This Role:
The College of Arts and Sciences at Kansas State University invites applications for a Health Professions Academic Advisor. This position advises students interested in pursuing health fields as well as undergraduates in Interdisciplinary Life Sciences or Physical Sciences. The advisor will maintain contact with professional programs to stay current on school and admissions test requirements and will assist students in the process of applying to health professional schools. This advisor will participate in new-student and University recruitment events. The advisor will also assist in teaching and will serve as the faculty/staff sponsor for pre-health student clubs.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• One year relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a related field and/or a degree in a health related field
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrated ability to manage confidential matters
• Experience advising at the college level, background in a health field, and history or working with diverse populations

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
$ 39,780 - $ 40,000 annually
