About This Role:

The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is seeking an Agricultural Technician Supervisor to assist with seed production for the Foundation Seed Program at the Agronomy North Farm. Primary responsibilities include organizing and performing activities related to the production of foundation seed of various species of crops, and working on and with specialized equipment, trucks, augers, structures, etc. This individual will work closely with Agronomy Farm and Western Kansas Agricultural Research Center personnel to accomplish objectives.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma and three years of relevant experience.

• Experience in operating farm equipment including grain trucks and other specialized equipment.

• Must have skills pertaining to mechanical, basic electrical, basic woodworking, basic welding, and basic plumbing projects and repairs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the operation of seed conditioning, treating, bagging equipment, and general seed production knowledge.

• Computer skills including experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, and QuickBooks or the ability to learn.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$15.42 - $23.11/hr. Salary commensurate with experience.
