About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL VIDEO, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.


An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:


• Videotapes and edits both practices and games relying on the use of broadcast ENG camera equipment, standing for long periods of time, working at elevated heights and working evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Manage, implement and maintain the XOS Ditigal's Thunder coaching video network's hardware and software and its integration into a networked environment. Help develop processes and integrate hardware to ensure the efficient use of time and financial resources. Manage, implement and maintain other third party software and hardware used by the coaching and support staff of the Vanier Complex, including but not limited to providing technical support and creating video tutorials or print documentation for end users. Must be able to safely and successfully work at elevated heights over 10 feet in various weather conditions.

• Maintain hardware and support software use of iPads and Thundercloud usages by coaches, staff and players. Support recruiting departments technical needs in its use of software and hardware specific to both ARMs database and HUDL software.

• Schedule and oversee one graduate assistant and ten hourly student workers; provide training and support for hardware and software end users; repair and maintain various computer hardware and related equipment.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree by employment start date

• Two years of experience in collegiate or professional sports program acquiring, editing, and managing visual media

• Two years of experience with digital video editing applications specific to football coaching video

• Two years of ENG experience with broadcast video equipment


Preferred Qualifications:


• Complete working knowledge of Adobe visual media products


Other Requirements:


• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed

• Must be able to travel as required

• Must have a valid driver's license at all times

Salary Rate / Pay Rate:

$47,000 to $55,000
