South Dakota State University Consumer Sciences Department is offering an exciting career opportunity as an Assistant Manager in the Aviation Program. We are looking for a creative and innovative professional to join us at the Brookings Airport in the Aviation Program. This is a 12 month, full-time, benefit-eligible position. This position is supervised by the Aviation Manager of Flight Operations and Facilities.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

The primary responsibilities include developing flight schedules, scheduling and proctoring FAA exams, supervising student workers, and monitoring flights.
· Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field with at least three years of experience in management or airport operation OR eight years of directly related experience completed by start date;
· Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences;
· Effective oral and written communication skills;
· Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
· Strong interpersonal skills;
· Ability to work as a contributing team member;
· A valid driver’s license;
· Demonstrated ability or potential to develop efficient schedules.
· Previous aviation experience;
· Demonstrated payroll and purchasing experience;
· Experience with scheduling software.
