About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for our full-time, benefits-eligible ASSISTANT SPORTS DIETITIAN/NUTRITIONIST position.

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:

• Plan, develop, implement, track, evaluate and manage nutrition services provided to student-athletes

• Assess and analyze dietary practices, body composition and energy balance of student-athletes as it relates to athletic performance and optimal health

• Program assessment to determine the effectiveness of the dietary nutrition program and services in order to recommend innovative methods of advancement

• Serve as a food and nutrition resource

• Translate the latest scientific evidence into practical sports nutrition recommendations

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in nutrition/dietetics or other related field from an accredited university or college at the time of application

• Two to four years of experience working as a dietician in a professional/collegiate setting

• Must be a current Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in nutrition or other related field from an accredited university or college

• Three or more years of experience providing nutrition/dietary services for a professional sport or NCAA Division I athletics program

• Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD)

• Experience in medical nutrition therapy, including eating disorder counseling

• Knowledge of food service quality and safety

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

• Must be eligible for, successfully apply and receive a State of Kansas Dietitian License within one year of first day of employment

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information

• Demonstrate strong written and interpersonal skills with student-athletes, coaches and/or various other people inside and outside of an athletic department

• Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Access and Outlook programs
