Associate Director for IEA Infrastructure
The University of Nebraska Lincoln is looking to fill an Associate Director for IEA Infrastructure which is part of a four-member leadership team for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics. Position oversees a team of analysts to facilitate timely delivery of critical data and advanced analytics in support of student success, strategic decision-making, and institutional improvement. The position will oversee creation of data sets and structures to support high end data reporting and predictive analytics for decision support. Position will ensure the creation of data and appropriate metadata for sustaining ongoing analysis and reporting needs. The Associate Director for IEA Infrastructure will direct the creation and publishing of data tools for a diverse group of users across the university. They will represent IEA in discussions of data governance and policy as well as communicate definitions and data to customers within and outside of IEA.

Minimum qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree in data science, computer science, social science or related field. Five or more years in business intelligence, database administration, institutional research, enrollment management reporting, or financial analytics.

Work History must show:

 

  • Expertise with database architecture Expertise with data warehousing 
  • Expertise with data governance
  • Expertise with student data related to student activities, persistence, and faculty-student interaction 
  • Expertise with student cohort tracking Expertise with PeopleSoft and other ERP’s Proficiency with quantitative and qualitative research methods 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Expertise with Tableau and Tableau Server, and R, Python, SAS, Stata, or SPSS.

Preferred qualifications include:
The ideal candidate may have a Master’s Degree. Tableau or data querying certification preferred.
