OEE invites applications and nominations for the Extension Field Director position. This is a full-time, twelve (12) month, non-tenure track Extension faculty position. The faculty appointment, evaluation, and promotion standards are centered around the three core duties of Extension faculty – educate, create, and connect. Candidates are sought with interests that complement and expand upon current initiatives and education activities in OEE and CSU Extension.

The primary office location for this position is at the Colorado State University Campus in Fort Collins, CO. While this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement and will require frequent in-state travel, the individual is expected to maintain a balance establishing a presence in the primary office, to effectively carry out the duties of the position.

A completed master’s degree is required. Conferred degree may be in a variety of disciplines, including agriculture, consumer and family sciences, education, youth development, human development, management, natural resources, sociology, or other social or behavioral sciences, or related degree that can significantly contribute to administrative and/or program responsibilities. This position requires a minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant professional experience with a land-grant university system or co-operative Extension. This position also requires a minimum of five (5) years’ professional experience in administration and/or management, specifically demonstrating a significant level of leadership, supervision, connecting resources and people to accomplish tasks, problem solving, and relationship building skills.
