Arizona FORGE at the University of Arizona is in search of a Coordinator, Venture Development Education (Student Support Specialist II) in an extended temporary employment capacity. In this new role, the Coordinator for Venture Development Education will manage all aspects of the Venture Development programming area of FORGE Student Venture Pathways. In this new position, the primarily focus will be developing, implementing, and evaluating events, workshops, and resources that help increase the knowledge and skill sets of students and recent graduates to create ventures. The Coordinator will supervise a team of student leaders, seek funds to support and grow the sustainability of programs and activities of Arizona FORGE Student Venture Pathways, and develop relationships and collaboration across campus that support venture development among students. Lastly the Coordinator will connect students with FORGE Mentors in Residence for specialized mentoring and support.
Desired characteristics of an ideal candidate is a student-centered professional with experience developing and implementing programs in collaboration with students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, the ideal candidate is equity-minded and competent in designing opportunities that appeal to diverse student audiences and are inclusive. Lastly, an ideal candidate will be adept in managing ambiguity and embrace working in a startup environment with emerging structures and goals.
