South Dakota State University (SDSU) College of Nursing is offering an exciting career opportunity as a Director of Nursing Student Services. We are looking for a creative and innovative professional to lead our Nursing Student Services Department. This is a 12-month, full-time, benefit-eligible position. This position is supervised by the Dean of Nursing.
SDSU is especially interested in candidates that can contribute to and/or coordinate course offerings that address the experiences of underrepresented minorities in organizations. Women, minorities, veterans, and people with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.

The Director of Nursing Student Services , and other nursing student services such as database support and development, computer support services, program evaluation input, and both events and ceremonies.
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Human Resources or Student Services related fields completed by date of application;
- At least three years of higher education recruitment, marketing, advising, and student database experience;
- If the applicant is an RN, the applicant must be licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing or eligible for licensure;
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work as a contributing team member;
- Demonstrated use of technology in managing and/or delivering educational programs;
- Demonstrated ability or potential to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational materials and direct effective programs.
- Valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel.
- Doctoral degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Human Resources, Leadership, or Student Services related fields;
- Certification in a student or human services related field;
- At least five years of higher education recruitment, marketing, advising, and student database experience;
- Experience in supervision of processional staff;
- Leadership in the planning and implementation of events and ceremonies.
