Position Title: Extra Help “Laboratory Assistant” in Water Quality
Applicant must be a current undergraduate student in the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences
Membership in MANRRS is a Requirement (No Membership Fees)
Job Location: Fish Research station, Aquaculture and Fisheries, 1200 N. University Drive, Pine Bluff, AR,
Duties and Responsibilities: The extra help person will work approximately 15-20 hours/week. The applicant will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to, water quality monitoring, fish maintenance, fish sampling, standard physio-biochemical analysis (including routine metabolism, energy store) and molecular assay. Applicant should be able to adjust rapidly to shifting priorities and variable workloads.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Applicant should have basic knowledge of fish biology, aquaculture and water quality. The applicant must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule to meet the laboratory demands. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication skills is preferred.
Salary: C103 State Pay Grade
