About This Role:

The Materials Research Laboratory for Sustainable Energy in The Tim Taylor Department of Chemical Engineering at Kansas State University is seeking a full-time postdoctoral researcher with fuel cell, electrolysis cell, and electrochemistry background. The postdoctoral researcher will work on two projects, one is developing solid oxide cells for power generation; the second one studying advanced electrocatalysts for ectrolyzers and ecltrochemical reactors. They will perform externally funded research projects and write research articles.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:


• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field


Preferred Qualifications:


• Ability to design and conduct advanced experiments

• Ability to meet project deadlines

• Experience in electrochemical characterization including EIS, CV, and others

• Experience in fuel cells and other electrochemical devices including electrolysis cells, batteries

• Experience in inorganic materials synthesis and electrochemistry

• Familiar with SEM, TEM, XPS, XRD, GC-FID-TCD-MS, FTIR, Raman, and other materials characterization techniques

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
