Human Resources Coordinator

South Dakota State University Office of Human Resources is offering an exciting career opportunity as a HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR. We are looking for a creative and innovative professional to provide leadership and coordination of the development and delivery as well as the continuous improvement of human resources operational activities to provide excellent service to administrators, faculty and staff. This is a 12-month, 100% time, benefit eligible position. This position is supervised by the Human Resources Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership in human resources operations and manage employee, position, and appointment data in Banner HR, supervise operational staff, coordinate special projects and generate a variety of HR data reports, and collaborate with the Assistant Director of Recruitment, Classification, and Compensation in the coordination of data and processes for the position management, applicant tracking, and performance management modules within PeopleAdmin.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Management, or related field completed by first day of employment;
  • Minimum three years of experience in human resources, data management, operations, payroll, or related field;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of audiences;
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work as a contributing team member; and
  • Demonstrated use of technology in managing data and electronic files.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience with report development and generation;
  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS or management of human resources data;
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing or leading projects; and
  • Demonstrated collaboration in process improvement and development.

SALARY:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
