About This Role:
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, including account payables and receivables, purchasing, and inventory. Coordinate state and federal fiscal year end activities, and approve payment/financial documents. Work with Faculty in budgeting and expenditure of state, federal, restricted fee, and KSU Foundation funds. Collaborate with Budget/Fiscal Coordinator to manage sponsored project post award activities. Hire, train and supervise accounting office staff. Coordinate and present purchasing, BPC, travel and asset management trainings to department Faculty and Staff.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
• B.S. degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency.
• B.S. degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience with KSU accounts payable, accounts receivable, basic accounting activities, and supervision.
• Completion of KSU Supervisory Foundations training, or completion within six months of employment.
• Training and experience with Microsoft Office, KSU Financial Information System, and QuickBooks accounting software.
• Knowledge and experience with KSU purchasing and payment procedures.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
