About This Role:
The Assistant Dean and Director of Conduct is the primary contact for conduct related policies at Kansas State. They will advise and adjudicate behavioral and conduct related reports, both for individuals and organizations. The Assistant Dean is a front-line professional who works with students, families, and faculty/staff to assist and support students with problems and help them be successful at K-State. This position requires an in-depth understanding of university policies and procedures, including policies related to federal compliance and accessibility.
This position is responsible for responding to potential violations of the Student Code of Conduct, Student Organization Policy, Threat Management (PPM 3015) policy, Anti-discrimination (PPM 3010), and other student life policies. The Assistant Dean and Director of Conduct must engage in complex problem solving in order to identify solutions and appropriate responses for the university when university community members (i.e. students, faculty, staff, visitors, etc.) are involved in seriously disruptive or threatening situations. This could have legal implications for the university if not handled with discretion.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree with experience in higher education student affairs, counseling or related field
• 5-7 years of experience working in higher education providing assistance and support to students.
• Experience with conduct or advising a judicial program.
• Supervision experience.
Other Requirements:
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:
$55,000-$60,000 annually ($2,115.385 – $2,307.693 bi-weekly)
