About This Role:
Lafene Health Center is looking for a highly dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner. Responsible for providing healthcare to KSU students. The practitioner is expected to work independently in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act established treatment protocols, and Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.
Evaluate the physical and psychological health status of the patient through a comprehensive health history and physical examination.
Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays, EKG, and comparable procedures.
Plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care based on an assessment of normal/abnormal findings from the history, physical examination, laboratory reports, and existing protocols.
Assess the need for consultation and collaboration with other healthcare team members: refer the patient to appropriate campus/community resources. Serve as consultant to other nursing personnel in areas of physical assessment and healthcare planning. Essential
Initiate and maintain records pertinent to care provided to the patient, legal documents, and other health/nursing care reports. When appropriate, participate in a joint review of services rendered, guidelines, and protocols. This may include chart reviews, case reviews, and patient evaluations. Essential

What You'll Need to Succeed:
• Current Kansas License to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
• Graduation from a Nursing Education Program approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing with 1-2 years experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in family practice or women's health
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
• National Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse; DEA certificate
• There will be variable hours in the evening and on Saturdays
